Below are some of the most popular questions that get asked but if you have a question not listed below please do not hesitate to contact us.

01

Can you supply background music in between sets?

Yes, I can provide music in between sets at events where there is no DJ. Music can be played through my PA system and can be music of your choice which either I can provide or if you have a playlist on an ipod or similar device I can use that.

02

How long do you need to set up and sound check?

I usually likes to allow around an hour to set up and sound check to ensure I have the best quality sound for your event. Please let me know if there are any complications with getting into the venue (i.e. flights of stairs etc) or limited set up time and I will do my best to accommodate you.

Pack down time after I finish is usually around 30 minutes and you can rest assured that I will leave the venue as tidy as I found it.

03

How long do you play for?

Set times vary depending on when you would like music throughout the day. Below is a general idea: -

Ceremony - 4 songs works perfectly

During photographs or the wedding breakfast - 1 hour and 30 minutes. Can be split into 2 x 45 minute sets for the wedding breakfast if desired.

Evening entertainment - 2 x 1 hour sets (includes the first dance if desired).

04

Do you take requests?

Yes I do my best to accommodate any requests but these have to be confirmed 1 month before the date at the latest. Please also bear in mind that all songs depend on backing track availability and key.

05

Do you supply a written contract?

Yes, there is a written contract confirming the details of the event to provide peace of mind for both myself and the client.

06

Do you need a deposit?

A non-refundable 20% deposit is required on confirmation of any booking.

07

Are you fully insured and PAT tested?

Yes my equipment is fully PAT tested and I have public liability insurance up to the value of £10million.

08

Do you have any requirements?

It is standard when booking any band or singer that you provide them with food and refreshment and wherever possible a dressing room, to store any equipment and to be out the way of your guests. This is not a necessity but is hugely appreciated as I can be at an event for a long time.

09

How much do you charge?

Please contact us with the date, location and requirements of your event and I can give you an exact quote. Basic prices are given on the services page.

10

How far are you willing to travel?

There is no limit to the distance that Marianne will travel, but on occasions that she needs to stay over night then accommodation will be charged for.

11

Can you play as part of a live band?

Yes, depending on your requirements, Marianne can either be solo, duo, trio or as a full band. Please contact us for more information.
